my city

My city is Madrid; it is the capital of Spain.

It has numerous monuments as Puerta de Alcala, la Cibeles, el Palacio

Real. Also it has beautiful gardens: Retiro,La casa de campo.

The weather in winter is cold and dry but it sometimes rains and it can

snows twice or thrice a months. In summer the weather is very hot. In

spring and fall it often rains but the weather is warm.

The typical meals are cocido with chickpeas, pork, vegetables and cow,

Callos (stomach of cow) and pestiños (pancakes fries with honey).

Serrano y la Gran via are the most famous streets because they have

expensive shops.

Hello Miriam,

I celebrate a party at home on Sunday at 9 o’clock.

I decorate my home with balloons and I will cook the dinner. I can

make a lamb with vegetable salad and chocolate cake.

I need to bay one lamb, five potatoes, one onion and some peas, I need to

buy a lettuce, two tomatoes and an onion for vegetable salad, too.

For chocolate cake I need flour, four eggs, milk and chocolate.

Can you meet in supermarket on Friday at 6 o’clock? .After we can go to

post office to buy stamps and invitations.

I want to invite about ten or twelve people.

my hobbies

On weekdays I always go to the swimming pool on Monday and Friday in the morning because I love swimming, in the evening I sometimes write a novel because I want to be a good writer and at night I often  read a good book because I can relaxing.

On weekends I twice a month have lunch with my husband also we usually go to the cinema or the theatre.

In summer we often walk though mountains because we love nature also we sometimes   go to the beach with our children because they like the sea.

Dear Linda:

I like going to beach in July whit my family at a hotel that it has four stars

But it is very expansive so they will go to an apartment near the beach

because   they can make the meal here and they save on much money.

In August they will  go to parents’ village because the children can play

whit others children and I can take care of my parents because they are

very old.

In September they come back at home because my daughter wants to

take an examination.

- No it isn’t but there is a bus next to the residence that it goes until the centre.

My favorite house

The house has three floors with a big garden where there is a swimming pool with cold water or hot as the season also there are hammocks and sun umbrellas.

On first floor has a living room with a big table, six chairs, two coachs, three armchairs and a television where we eat. There is a library with two armchairs where I read my books and a lot of shelves for to put books, CD’s or DVD’s, also there is a kitchen with a stove,a microwave and a table where  we has the breakfast .

On second floor there are four bedrooms each one with its bathroom.

On third flloor there is a room where my children playing with their toys.

my family

My family is small but is very happy.My husband is Carlos, is a doctor and works in an Hospital.
We have two children, our son is six years old and our daughter is a baby.
I am a nurse and work with my husband in the same hospital.
I haven`t parents but my husband has mother and pather but they live in malaga and my children don't see
frequently.
I have three cousins but Carlos haven't cousins because hasn't aunt or uncle, I have one aunt  who three children and two uncle who aren`t married

                                   A    racehorse 

   Its  name  is Chacal,  bors in France.Its parent are so French and are the  

best horse of France. It is tall and  blond with the face and  white legs.

   When it two years old, the best stables of horses bought it from Spain .

It lives in a big land with a green grassland and a race track

   During the week , in the morning it eats some alfalfa, after  runs at the

race track to exercise its muscles. The coach is so happy because it has

exceptional speed and a great stride. In the afternoon it eats some alfalfa

again after its stableman washs and combs it. He gives it a sugar cube

because it loves. In the evening it sleeps on the litter.

   On Sunday it go to hippodrome  where it will run in the afternnon.Before

race, its stableman combs it, after puts the saddle for running.

    When it wins the race, is so happy where it hear the cheers of people

happy to see him run because it win every  races that it runs.

     When it will be eight old, will live in a land where it will have colts with

its best qualities.

My last weeked

On Saturday I go with my husband at cinema and we see "los miserables", we like the music and the artist, after we go at the italian restaurant and we eat some pizza with red some wine. We enjoj
On Sunday We visited Segovia ,a beautiful city con many old building and typical restaurants where  we ate some little pig

Wednesday I'm find my aunt. She lives in the beautiful floor or street Mayor number two bartroon seven. I'am to visit every month. She has shop one celle phone. I'amb not your number. The course is going to finish already!!

We have studied for ten months, and now we are getting ready for the exam of next Sunday. I'm very happy because I have improved my English a lot with Burlinton method, Now, I'm very quiet because I have studied a lot during this year.


I'm very gratefully to Ann, because she has been a very good teacher!!!
This is my last writing this course, and it is in appreciation for all you have done,Ann. I'm a teacher too, and I like hearing  my students saying that "I have learned a lot with Esti". I can say it "I have improved my English a lot with Ann"

My name is Esti and I’m going to spend my holidays with you. I’m thirty-seven years old, I’m tall and thin, my eyes are brown and my hair is black.  I live in a small town called Sopuerta with my family. I work as a teacher at Santa María School of Portugalete, so, I’m learning a lot of English because in the future I’ll need to use it. I need speak very well in English, for then teach chemistry in English, do you understand me?

Hello Pepa,

I’m going to buy food to the supermarket right now. We need some things to eat this evening because we have a party with our friends. Do you remember it? I cannot bring all of them, so I need your help. I’m going to buy some things to make a salad, like tomatoes, some lettuce, onions… but we also need meat and fish and something for dessert. Can you bring some meat and fish? And can you bake a good chocolate cake?

I’m going to buy a tablecloth and napkins, too. We don’t have anything to drink, so I’m going to buy some bottles of Coca-Cola, wine, beer…
